think design is the method

surprise and color, giving a
unique life to objects and
spaces, through a conceptual
but also practical thinking
process. I like the
challenge of creating new
objects that, besides of
answering people needs, have
a conceptual meaning and
make people smile.”
Galia Schnadower was born in
1980 in Mexico City. She
spent most of her childhood
living in a kibbutz in
Israel and returned to
Mexico at the age of 10. She
started college in Mexico
City and although she won
the 1st year prize for
excellence, she decided to
move to Israel, where she
finished her BA in
Industrial Design at the
Bezalel Academy of Arts and
Design, which she finished
with 2 prizes for excellence
and a scholarship. During
the BA she worked part time
at Nekuda D.M and after
graduation she left to
London, where she did an
internship at 'Arash &
Kelly' studio and took some
courses at Central Saint
Martins. After a year in
Europe she returned to
Israel and continued her
career as a designer at
Studio Amir Zehavi, a well
known design studio in Tel
Aviv, where she gained a lot
of experience also in
interior design, managing
projects from concept to
production, manufacturing
processes and materials,
working under tight
deadlines and dealing with
clients including: Office
Depot, Orange, El-Al, Hot,
Elite, Aminach, Bank
Discount and others, Galia
Schnadower is currently
working independently as a
freelance designer in Tel
Aviv, Israel.

נולדה
במקסיקו סיטי ב-1980 להורים
מקסיקנים יהודים. בגיל שנתיים
עלתה ארצה עם ההורים וגרו 8
שנים בקיבוץ צרעה, עד שחזרה
למקסיקו בשנת 1991. שם סיימה
את התיכון ולאחר טיול של שנה
בארץ ובאירופה התחילה את
התואר בעיצוב תעשייתי
באוניברסיטה במקסיקו-סיטי
בידיעה שלאחר שנה תנסה להתקבל
ללימודי תואר בעיצוב תעשייתי
בבצלאל, שם קיבלה פעמיים
הצטיינות ומלגה. במהלך
הלימודים, גליה עשתה חילופי
סטודנטים באיינדהובן, הולנד
ועבדה במשרה חלקית בנקודה
די.אם - תל אביב. לאחר סיום
התואר, עברה גליה ללונדון, שם
. Central Saint Martins
ולקחה כמה קורסים קצרים ב-
Arash & Kellyמאז צברה גליה
הרבה ניסיון בארץ ובאירופה,
עשתה סטאז' ב-
בחזרתה לארץ, גליה התחילה
לעבוד בסטודיו אמיר זהבי
שבת"א, איפה שצברה הרבה נסיון
בניהול פרוייקטים מקונספט ועד
ייצור, טכנולוגיות וחומרים,
עבודה בלוחות זמנים צפופים
ובעבודה מול לקוחות כגון:
עמינח, אורנג', בנק דיסקונט,
אופיס דיפו, אל-על, עלית, הוט,
וכדומה.
כיום גליה ממוקמת בת"א ועובדת
כמעצבת פרילנס.
